The Madison County Historical Society, Inc. is a non-profit organization with a mission to educate our citizenry and visitors about the county’s unique history, archeology, architecture, and cultural heritage. The MCHS board also collaborates with governmental entities, educational institutions, and public/private businesses and organizations to promote, protect, and preserve Madison County history and heritage.

Madison County Historical Society Presents

Join us in June for a presentation by Sharyn Mitchell, "The Sistas of Madison County, and the Many Hats They Wore." 

Mrs. Mitchell will provide a meaningful history of known, and little known, African American women who called Madison County home.

The presentation will take place at the Madison County Library - Richmond Location - at 6:30 pm on June 15, 2023.

Events

Meeting Schedule of the Madison County Historical Society

Regular meeting date is the 3rd Thursday of each month.  Meeting location will be in the Community Room of the Madison County Library at the corner of West Main and 5thStreet.

Presentations, when possible, are also live on Zoom.

Regular meeting time is 6:30 PM.  Publicity will be made via Facebook, email, and the Community Calendar in the Richmond Register and Berea Citizen.
