BROWN FAMILY DONATES TO MCHS
October 9, 2018.  Laurie and Fayette Brown III of North Carolina drove to Richmond to donate a contemporary "copy" of the original plat to the city of Richmond.  Laurie is a direct descendant of William Miller.  The plat now resides in the Archives of EKU's Crabbe Library.
MCHS DONATES MONEY TO WACO JUNIOR HISTORICAL SOCIETY

On October 15, 2018, the society donated $250.00 to the Waco Elementary School Junior Historical Society for the purpose of defraying costs to attend the Kentucky Junior Historical Society's fall conference in Frankfort.  The Waco students captured 1st, 2nd and 3rd place in every catagory in which they competed.  The group won the 2018-2019 KJHS History Bowl.  They also received the  Rookie Club of the Year Award.  Foster Banks was recognized as being the  Kentucky Junior Historical Society Outstanding Member of the Year.  Chris Workman was recognized as being the KJHS Outstanding Sponsor of the Year.

MCHS is very proud of the accomplishments of this group.

2009 Annual Picnic

MCHS Donates Plaque to Eastern
The Madison County Historical Society donated a plaque for the Daniel Boone Statue, which stands on the campus of Eastern Kentucky University, commemorating Daniel Boone's historical significance to Madison County.
